Matching and multiple choice in a single quiz

QUESTION
I have used thatquiz many times and am wondering if there is a way to create quizzes that have both matching and multiple choice in the same quiz.

ANSWER

In the "Design" area there's no way to combine matching and multiple choice questions in a single test.
However, you can create a test for a class using both question types.
1. Assign a Multiple Choice test to a class.
2. Assign a Matching test to the same class.
3. Click the checkboxes to select Both tests in the list of tests for the class.
4. Click the Merge button which creates a new test using the questions of all the selected tests.
Then you'll have a single test with both matching and multiple choice questions, assigned to a class.  You can always merge any assigned tests to form a larger test with different question types.  Also, you can get a copy of that test for other classes by selecting that test and pressing the Share button.

I want students to practice a quiz as much as they like.

QUESTION
I have created several basic math fact quizzes, some labeled "Practice" and others are the actual quiz.  After the student passes the practice quiz, it is removed from his assigned test list.  I would like the Practice quizzes to remain in each student's list, even if they pass, so that they can practice as much as they like.  Is there a way?

ANSWER

Every test you assign to a class automatically has a separate practice version available.
On your "See Tests" page click on a test name to view or edit the test details.
On the top of the page for editing a test you'll see two URLs, one for the class test, the other for a practice test.
The practice test URL launches a test which is identical to the real test, except that anyone can take the test and it does not record grades.
If you want students to be able to keep practicing, email them the link to the practice version of the test, or link to it from your school website.

How to let students take a test many times.

QUESTION
After students take a quiz, whether they do well or not, their name disappears from the list so they cannot take it again.  I don't want them to advance to the next level until they are proficient so I have leveled tests. However, is it possible for them to remain on the list until they are proficient or forever?  If yes, how do I make that happen?

ANSWER

On your "See Tests" page in your teacher account, you can click on a
test name to configure specific options for a test.  One of the
options is to Save all grades OR to Save grades greater or equal than
a certain score.  If you set the required score to 100 (or any grade >
0) then students will have to retake the test until they achieve the
required score.
When you set a minimum required score, the grades which are lower
than your required score will not appear in your grades table.
However, you can view these discarded grades.  If you check a test on
the "See Tests" page and click the "Grades" button, you'll see a
report of all the grades for that test.  If some grades were discarded
because they did not meet the minimum score, you'll see a "Discarded
grades" link, which takes you to a similar report, but one which shows
you a report of all the discarded grades.  You can also choose to
accept any of the discarded grades and move it from the discarded to
the saved category.
Alternatively, you can also delete a grade in the grades table
(click on Edit, select the grade, then click Erase).  Once a grade is
deleted for a test, the student's name will reappear in the list for
testing.

How do I email a student's test results to parents?

QUESTION
How do I email a student's test results to the parents?

ANSWER
On your "See Tests" page click on the test name to open a page showing details about the test.
If students have already tested you should see the message:
"Test questions cannot be edited since some students have already tested."
below the configuration options and above the test questions.
There are also two links:
Grade report (shows a report of all the grades)
Email results (lets you send the results to parents via email)

You need to login to the account which will receive the class lists.
Click "New Class" and click "Import".
There's an option to import students from another thatquiz account.
You will have to enter the login and password of the account from
which you're importing.
This will import ALL CLASSES from the other account.  It will import

Add images

QUESTION
Is it possible to add images to a quiz? I am trying to do a question
quiz with images but I can't seem to find where to add the image.

ANSWER
Yes.
For multiple choice click on the small letter "i" in italics after the
question box and before the first answer box.
For matching questions the "i" (for image) is above the set of matching pairs.
For slides there is an Image button.
