Math Equations

QUESTION
I have run into an issue though with my Algebra 1 students. I
sometimes need to make more complex equations then your system allows.
Is there anyway a copy and paste feature can be added? For example, if
I create something in Word, can I copy and paste the equation from
there into my question? I need to be able to make fractions and I am
unable to do so now…unless I missed something.

ANSWER
Have you tried the "slide" editor?
Click on the Design link in your menu and use the Slide button.
You'll get a question editor which is suitable for complex equations,
and for fractions.
In general, we don't recommend pasting from Microsoft Word.  The
pasted text might look OK in Internet Explorer but in any other web
browser the results are less predictable.

This might be a silly question but is there a place where I can learn more about typesetting in this program? Let me explain what I mean. I do realize that we can use the "slide" option to input complex algebraic expressions, but I was wondering are there any type setting syntax I can refer to or learn to input common symbols or typesetting that I use on a regular basis without using a slide. When I look in the Calculus section I see symbols like "pi" or the integral symbol so I am guessing there are ways to input "symbols" into this program. I would prefer not to have to create a slide each time I want to use the "delta, pi, theta, beta, alpha, plus or minus, infinity, omega, Summation of etc" symbols as well as superscript and subscripts of variables rather than merely numbers.
